Roadworks Update for Site Investigations
29 August 2025
The Perth Entertainment and Sporting Precinct Alliance (PESPA) has been appointed to deliver the detailed design of the Perth Entertainment and Sporting Precinct at Burswood Park.
Site investigations have commenced across Burswood Park and will continue until October 2025 to inform the design development.
To enable investigations on or near the road temporary traffic management will be in place on roads around Burswood Park intermittently between Tuesday, 2 September and Friday 12 September 2025.
Camfield Drive
The northbound lane on Camfield Drive, between the entrance to Crown Towers and Roger Mackay Drive, will be closed while radar surveys are carried out. Southbound traffic will operate in a single lane during this time.
Once these are complete, traffic will be switched, and the southbound lane will be closed for these surveys. Northbound traffic will operate in a single lane during this time.
These works are weather dependent and will occur intermittently between 9am and 3pm.
A detour will be in place via Roger Mackay Drive, Victoria Park Drive, and Glenn Place. Local access to Crown Towers and the Burswood Water Sports Centre will be maintained via the northbound lane of Camfield Drive.
These traffic changes are illustrated on the maps below.

Roger Mackay Drive
The eastbound lane on Roger Mackay Drive, between Camfield Drive and Victoria Park Drive, will be intermittently closed. Westbound traffic will operate in a single lane during this time. These works are to enable pavement testing and will occur between 10pm and 6am. We anticipate very minimal noise during these works.
A detour will be in place via Camfield Drive, Glenn Place, and Victoria Park Drive.
These traffic changes are illustrated on the map below.

Victoria Park Drive
Survey and pavement testing will be undertaken with intermittent slip lane closures in place. During these works the speed will be reduced to 40km/h on Marlee Loop and Victoria Park Drive and near the intersection of Roger MacKay Drive. Noise levels are anticipated to be very low.
Camfield Drive carpark closure
There will be a temporary closure of the Camfield Drive carpark for a two-night period on Tuesday, 2 September and Wednesday, 3 September 2025 from 10pm to 6am. Works will take place at night to minimise disruption to Optus Stadium events, with noise levels anticipated to be low.
Remember to pay attention to traffic signage for the latest information and drive to conditions. All works follow approved noise and traffic management plans. Every effort will be made to minimise disruption.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we complete these works.
